Thanks for visiting the QLife website. Now more than ever accessing support is really important as we manage the challenges relating to COVID-19.
We want to let you know that you may experience a longer than usual wait for QLife services at present as we are currently reorientating the service so that people are working in line with spatial distancing protocols to protect QLife staff and volunteers from COVID-19.
To help support as many community members as possible we will be limiting calls and chats to 20 minutes.
We appreciate your patience during this time and look forward to continuing to support our LGBTIQ+ communities. We will keep our communities updated as further service changes occur. You can follow our updates here or on our Qlife Facebook page.
QLife understands our communities have experienced a range of personal and social trauma. However, QLife Peer Supporters and staff have the right to work in a safe workplace free from homophobia, transphobia and threats of harm. Phone calls or webchats to QLife that contain abusive, aggressive, or threatening language will be terminated.
QLife provides anonymous and free LGBTI peer support and referral for people in Australia wanting to talk about sexuality, identity, gender, bodies, feelings or relationships.
The QLife family includes hundreds of highly experienced LGBTIQ+ staff and volunteers Australia-wide. If you’re looking to connect with someone to explore what’s going on in your life, we’re here to take your call or webchat.
Your privacy is our priority. You can trust our dedicated peer workers. QLife is an anonymous service you can rely on.
We’ve got some great resources for community members and health professionals, including QGuides, QLives and our LGBTI referral database
"I want people to understand how much acceptance makes a difference."
QLife acknowledges the Traditional Owners of country throughout Australia, their diversity, histories and knowledge and their continuing connection to lands, waters and communities. We pay our respects to all Australian Indigenous peoples and their cultures, and to Elders of past, present and future generations.
We pay our respects to those amongst the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and intersex communities who have worked to support the improved health and wellbeing of their peers, children, families, friends, and country. We honour the elders in the diverse communities of which we are a part and we celebrate the extraordinary diversity of people's bodies, genders, sexualities, and relationships that they represent.
